Sharon
graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in 1969. At the same time, she
received a Direct Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army. In 1974, the Army picked her out of
several thousand applicants to be paid to go to law school on active
duty. She selected the University of
Florida and did exceedingly well rising to become Editor in Chief of the
University of Florida Law Review during her last year. After law school, and admission to the
State Bar of Georgia, the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps provided a lot
of variety in both jobs and locations.
Sharon enjoyed it until she happily retired in 1988 as a Lieutenant
Colonel. After “retirement,” Sharon returned to the
Seattle area where she had put down roots while serving at Ft Lewis, WA. She became a member of the Washington State
Bar in 1989 and slowly started building her private practice in the fields of
Real Estate, Wills, Trusts, Probate and Elder Law in beautiful downtown West
Seattle. Sharon is now a confirmed North Westerner
and has, she says, developed “webbed feet.” She loves to kayak in Puget Sound
off the shores of West Seattle. She
tackled a life long fear of water by learning to swim at age 58. She has completed several
"sprint" triathlons, thanking God each time she finishes the open
water swim leg! Sharon has become convinced that anything is possible if you are willing to
work at it. Learning to swim and climbing both Mt Rainier and Mt Baker in
Washington, and Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa have proved the truth of
the saying that “one can achieve any goal, one step at a time.” That is how she has built her law practice,
providing excellent legal service to each client, one step at a time. Contact
